Rasky's AD: Black 2000 Chevy truck

Black 2000 Chevy truck, complete detail (no motor)

This truck belongs to a co-worker/friend of mine. Originally we were only going to do a 1-step correction. After doing a few test panels I was very unhappy with the results I was getting from my 1-step polishes. I called him up and asked for more time and offered to do a 2-step at no extra charge.

I had planned on using M205 as a 1-step via Flex 3401 but it was micro marring like crazy....yet it worked flawlessly on the rotary.

Products used:

-Megs Gold Class
-Megs APC+
-P21S Wheel Gel
-Amazing Roll Off
-Folex
-Mothers Chrome polish
-Megs #40
-Megs QID
-Megs Detailer Line Glass cleaner
-Megs Hyper Dressing 3:1
-Megs M105
-Megs M205
-Wolfgang Fuzion

Tools used:

Makita rotary
Bissell Little Green Machine
Brinkmann dual xenon light
Halogen lamps
Shop vac
Various brushes
Lots of Megs Supreme Shine MF towels
Megs Solo wool pads
Megs W9207 finishing pads
Megs foam applicators

Before:

Paint was in very poor condition.

Some wax was in the textured plastics...I got most of it out.

Interior was pretty dirty too

Awesome work as always man! Love seeing your posts.

Did you just clean the jambs with the APC? Also any reason you use two different interior "coatings"?

Awesome turn around on the rims and paint!

Is that corn in the close up shot of the pedals?

Thanks!

I used APC, washed them with a mitt and some small brushes, then I went back over them with a quick detailer and a MF as one of my last steps of looking everything over.

I only used the QID on the radio, climate controls, and the speedo. M40 was used on all the vinyl, Hyper Dressing was used on the tires and trim.
