Mirror Shined: 2008 Infiniti G35

Hey all,

Here is a 2008 Infiniti G35 with 40k miles I did today. I had to drive 1.5hrs to get to the clients place down in Cincinnati, Ohio - so I didn't start until about 9am so I was kind of on a time budget to get it done, & drive home. Ended around 5:45pm. Sorry for the lack of pictures but like I said I was kind of in a rush. I didn't get any before or interior shots.

The owner drives the car 130miles a day, and runs it through the tunnel wash once in a while; surprisingly the car was in pretty good condition swirl/scratch wise, but the front bumper was FILLED with rock chips...

Items used:

* Duragloss #902
* Blue Magic Clay
* P21S TAW
* P21S Gel Wheel Cleaner
* Various brushes
* Grout Sponges
* Makita 9227C
* Z16 Tire Gloss
* Z8
* Z6
* Opti-Seal
* LC Flat Pads
* M205
* M105
* Detailed Image's All Purpose MF's
* Detailed Image's Waffle Weaves
* Meg's Last Touch
* 303 Aerospace Protectant
* 70% IPA
* Top of the Line's Tire Cleaner

I was going to use Z5pro as my LSP but forgot it at home, so I applied 2 layers of Opti-Seal with a coat of Z8 on top of it with a final wipe down of Z6. I thought this combo left a pretty decent gloss/depth in that particular color.

Well here are some of the afters. Sorry about the brightness/contrast in some of the pictures; Luckily the client let me use his camera to snap some. Don't mind the wrong date on the pictures.

Comments always welcomed.

Thanks guys,

- Andy

Nice job Andy. One question, with 2 coats of OS, why did you top it with Z8? Oh, 2nd question, does Z8 give a better pop than OS?

Thank you Legacy.

Honestly, I always apply 2 coats of OS to make sure the whole car is covered and spots aren't missed. I added Z8 because like you said I feel it just gives something extra to OS. I still regret not bringing Z5...

That engine compartment looks awesome. What did you use on the plastics and rubber. I love CD2.

I used Z16 for the engine. It use to be 303 aerospace protectant until I found Zaino local.
