RX330 and a couple Jaguars

2004 Lexus RX330. The owner received a gift certificate from her boyfriend for Christmas and she waited until the weather got reasonably decent to use it. He purchased a basic exterior for her, so it got an ONR wash and clay with a white Meguiars clay bar, Meguiars #151 Paint Reconditioning Cream via G110 using a yellow Meguiars polishing pad and it was sealed with Optimum Opti-Seal.

==============

2003 Jaguar S-Type 4.0, owned by an older gentleman (around 85 or so!) who just wants a basic clean-up and protection a couple times a year. It only has about 20,000 miles on it so the car stays in pretty decent shape between details. ONR wash with white Meguiars clay (really only the backend needed much claying and even that was minimal), Optimum Polish II with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad via G110 and waxed with Wolfgang Fuzion. Only a few shots since I've posted this car a few times in the past, plus his driveway is very short so I can't get too many angles anyway.

Re: RX330 and a couple Jaguars

2007 Jaguar XK. I used to do this car pretty regularly but hadn't seen it in more than a year since the owner was working in New Jersey (flew home on weekends) and decided to keep his Jag up there with him. The interior was pretty clean, didn't take too long; BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner for the carpets, Woolite/water for the vinyl and leather, dressed the leather with Leather Master's Leather Vital and the vinyl with Meguiars Interior QD (owner's request).

The outside though...wow. Swirls were very obvious even with white.

I didn't even start on the car until 3 PM (had the S Type that morning and the cars were about 45 minutes apart) so going nuts with the rotary really wasn't an option given that it would be dusk at 8 PM. I decided to use Meguiars #105 via G110 using a yellow Meguiars polishing pad with a lot of pressure and sloooooooow passes.

Half 'n half shot:

I was able to remove 90-95% of the swirls from the car in about 90 minutes using #105 and a G110. No need to tape the car off either.

I followed with #205, also using a yellow Meguiars polishing pad and waxed with Wolfgang Fuzion.

Re: RX330 and a couple Jaguars

Nice job Scott, all the cars look really great.

How is it that you get stuck with all the white cars and I get stuck with all the black cars...??

Re: RX330 and a couple Jaguars

I REALLY love the new XK's.. They look like Aston's!

The new XF's are BEASTS too. Was reading about them in my TopGear magazine. Definitely a "gentleman's" car, much like the Aston's as well.

Great work Scott! You made quick work of the XK!!
