Reflections Detailed: Ferrari Modena F1

2000 Ferrari Modena F1

This car was dirty, the engine bay especially so, the type of venting just sucks in the dirt. The car was also tracked so that added to it, I’m sure. The car seemed to have been cared for by the pervious owner, and the new owner wanted to make it look better than new. SuperBee and I went to work.

TAW to remove all traces of surface contaminants
Foamed the car with CW&C
Clayed with ONR
IPA after every step
105 and PFW
106FA and red LC
RMG
That “special carnauba” on top
Polished the exhaust tips with 0000 steel wool, 105, flitz
Wheels cleaned with p21s gel and bike brush
Tires dressed with z16
Wheels sealed with 1000p
Interior vac
ONR wipe down of all hard surfaces
Cleaned leather 10:1 woolite (Leatherequie next visit)
All glass cleaned with sprayway

Here are the befores:

Afters:

Cheers,
Greg

That was very nice...but I couldn't get the pictures on my screen (and yes, I do have a widescreen monitor ) Try reducing the width a little so we can appreciate your work.

Okay......how does one reduce the image size ONCE its been downloaded to Photobucket? I know you can change the size before you download, but not after from what I've found.

Also thanks,
GREG

EDIT: I found a way.......sorry for the massive images at first.

Great work Greg! Very nice car. Interesting to find you doing a ONR wash after. I don't think I've ever noticed anyone doing that? What's your thoughts on this?

David,
Brandt showed me this idea, so I gave it a go. The owner did not want any dressing on the interior hard sufaces. ONR with distilled water did the trick, it clean the surfaces very nicely and left the surface matte. Brandt swears it reduces the amount of dust build up. I'll be seeing the cars again, when I do the other cars he owns, so I can check out the results. Remind me to Pm you the finding if your interested.

Cheers,
GREG
