Rasky's AD: GMC Denali complete detail

This is the 5th vehicle I have done for this owner now and this is actually the wife’s ride. Overall it wasn’t too bad. The exterior was average with only light to moderate scratching. We decided on a 1-step polish since it is a daily driver and white in color. Having kids the interior was a little dirty but still not that bad. The front drivers carpet had some areas of rock hard salt build up….I hate cleaning these spots! I was happy with the over all outcome.

Products/tools used:

Looks great!! Boy was it caked in dirt!!

What'd you use on the motor, the hyperdressing?? It looks good!

Side note: I can't believe people still leave money in plain sight in a vehicle...Now I know I'm a trustworthy person(and am sure you are too), but why would anyone hand over the keys of their vehicle with money sitting out like that?? This owner definitely trusts you!!

Yep, Hyper Dressing at about 3:1.

I actually have their garage code and picked the car out form there house since they were in Hawaii, but I agree that cash should not be left in a vehicle like that.

Great job. The car looks brand new again inside. Was that your last car before the Meguiar's class?

What was your procedure with cleaning and detailing the engine?

Nicely work, as usual Especially on the salt crud caked on the carpet. That's on my agenda for my DD.... same GMC interior & exterior on a Sierra.

Since you didn't feature any 'after' closeups of the finish I'm wondering how M205 worked as a 1-step on the imperfections? What pads, how many passes? I had to hit a few spots with 105/PFW on a few spots on mine, did the rest with 205 and LC green as it wasn't too bad last time. Nice thing about that GM white, once you get it dazzling it *appears* to stay that way for a long time.

Looks like you got rid of the Minnesnowta winter a bit early this year. Don't think I'd put the snowblower away just yet though.

Yep! I'm flying out to Detail Fest tonight!

I used Megs APC+, pressure washer, and a combo of brushes and a wash mitt. Sprayed it down it Megs Hyper Dressing at 3:1 when done.

Thanks Bro!

I attempted to take some 50/50 shots using my Dual Xenon and the Halogens but could not capture anything worthy of showing. The finish was not in that bad of shape to start with. It had a lot of tar and some rail dust here and there but that's about it. I'd say it rmeoved 60-70% of the swirls/scrathes in the paint. Those that remained could not been seen in the daylight.

I do have a couple cars I did that do show the level of correction you can get with just M205...

Rasky's AD: Kia Sorento

2005 Black VW Passat, first correction with the new M205

As far as the MN weather, you are correct! It's been nice here the last week but just as soon as yo get excited for spring.....MORE SNOW!

Cheers,
Rasky
