I'm hoping to do my first Aston Martin next month!

That looks beautiful, any idea on the MSRP?

Is there a sexier car in the world at the moment?. Way to knock it out of the park Ritchie if they do not use you then they are not to bright.... in this economy dealerships need to step it up and not do the same old stuff as before.

^^^ Not to beat on dealerships

due to the fact that i work at a BMW dealership (not going to say which one)

but the so called "detailers" at my dealership dont even know the difference between a DA and a rotary .. or a microfiber to a shop rag

ive seen so many details done by them (new car and used) and im wondering what the heck they are doing .. ive only been into detailing for 4 months .. and i bet you i can do a much better job with my Flex

Very nice work indeed! That color really pops after being properly polished.

I also agree with Bob in that the dealerships really need to step up their game to set themselves apart from the others, as well as offering a much higher level of service and product to their clientele.

Re: 2009 Aston Martin DBS

Well done. Hopefully you made a believer out of the manager at the dealership. Most dealers focus on one thing: price. The smart ones look for quality - I'll cross my fingers for you!!!

One local bavarian dealer I know of expects their "detailer" to put out two cars per day, for $50 per car. Not too many pros will work under those terms.

So did you do it for free with some sort of agreement for work if you actually removed the swirls instead of hiding them? Or did you get paid for this, and if so, your normal rate? It would seem to me that if any dealer would pay for an Autopian detail, it would be one that is selling $268K cars.

Yeah wondering the same thing myself. Great Job on the car. How long did it take you? Did you polish the whole thing right there in the show room? ha..ha..!

Re: 2009 Aston Martin DBS

I was thinking the same thing Ritchie, I also saw a thread with Paul Dalton detailing a 997 GT2 in the dealership showroom as well. I would think the buffer noise would be annoying to the sales staff and customers, although if I were in that Aston showroom I would be impressed that my car was being cleaned to the "bada bing" level(giggle) sorry Ritchie could not resist (doohhhh).
