C230 revisited, Civic Si, Bentley

Actually did this back in September, I'm a little behind still...

I corrected the paint in April as you can see in this thread:

2 C's, do I get a passing grade?

Fast forward to September when the owner wanted another detail. He does a nice job washing his cars, got him hooked on QEW and then after I started using ONR he wanted to try it too. Grit guard, quality wash pads and MF towels and 5 months and these were the BEFORE pictures...

Flash instead of halogen:

I just did a quick cleanup on the paint using my UDM (didn't break until December) with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad and Optimum Polish II and waxed with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose. It was drizzling so no outside shots.

Re: C230 revisited, Civic Si, Bentley

2007 Honda Civic Si. Owner's wife had a second child so he wanted the Civic cleaned up for sale.

As you can see, it was pretty swirled up:

It took Meguiars #105 via rotary using a yellow Meguiars polishing pad at 1200 down to 1000 rpms, followed by 3M Ultrafina also using a yellow Meguiars pad followed by a blue Ultrafina pad @ 1000-1800-1000 rpms to remove the swirls.

I did this detail right after Christmas and with the amount of polishing the car needed combined with the 5:20 PM sunset, I really didn't have time to take a lot of comparison shots, but the whole car looked like the before picture when I first started.

By the time I got all the polishing done, Wolfgang Fuzion applied and the interior cleaned and dressed, it was already dusk, so please excuse the picture quality.

Re: C230 revisited, Civic Si, Bentley

2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed. Did this one yesterday (March 13rd) on a cold rainy 39 degree day. Our high for the day was lower than the average low temperature for mid March in north Texas. Car was too big to close the garage door so the conditions were pretty nasty.

Just needed a light polish and wax. Optimum Poli-Seal using a white LC polishing pad and Wolfgang Fuzion.

Yes, that is a Ducati in the background.

Re: C230 revisited, Civic Si, Bentley

Great job on all of them Scott.

That Bentley looks nice, too bad about the weather I'd love to see some full length shots.

I have rescheduled the last 3 days worth of cars, I had some nice ones' (Lambo and 2 Fcars) besides nasty conditions I really wanted to get some nice sun shots. Hopefully the weather will be nicer here soon.

Josh

Re: C230 revisited, Civic Si, Bentley

Josh-I've posted the Bentley before but all those pictures were on photohost.org which has been down now for about a week.

The weather has been miserable, hasn't it? 70s and 80s for several days then that stupid cold front.

We needed the rain, but did it really have stay in the upper 30s to low 40s for three days?

Re: C230 revisited, Civic Si, Bentley

The SI was a nice turn around. I still am not a fan of the 2 door in that body style. I'm partial to the 4 door, and well my EP3 Hatch (the SI model prior). All have that stupid soft paint though UGH!
