Civic, Accord, S10

The Civic and Accord are owned by a girl who worked for me about 10 years ago and her husband. Now that she is married, has kids and no time, she contacted me to clean up both vehicles.

Both were in very good condition and the '06 Accord was pretty much swirl free-which seems somewhat typical of the silver and gold ones I have done in the past few years. Not sure what it is about those colors that resist swirls so well.

The leather and vinyl was cleaned with Woolite/water and the carpets with BioKleen's Traffic Lane Cleaner, leather in the Accord was dressed with Leather Master's Leather Vital and the vinyl in both with Optimum Protectant Plus.

Both exteriors were washed with ONR and clayed with Meguiars white clay-the Accord had a lot of bonded contaminants, the Civic not so much. Polished both cars with my Dewalt 849 using a blue Swirlbuster finishing pad and Optimum Finish at 1200 down to 1000 rpms. Both waxed with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose. Tires/fenderwells dressed with Armor All.

Re: Civic, Accord, S10

1998 Chevy S10. The owner spends most of his time in Afghanistan working on communication systems for a private contractor so the S10 sits for months at a time under a car cover. He wanted me to add some gloss and protection. With an older vehicle that already has significant bird bomb etching on the hood and evidence of some paint checking, there really wasn't any reason to go too nuts on the paint. I did the same process inside and out on the S10 as the above Accord and Civic other than no carpeting to clean or leather to dress.

Lovely car, ugly truck ! Nice work Scott! Scott, would you like to try some bio carpet cleaner that gets rid of bacteria? I'd be happy to send you a sample, just email or PM me (you can get my email address from the net) if you're interested. I've been using it for about a year now and love it!

Woolite/water at about 15:1 (I am using the new HE version that is more concentrated) followed by Optimum Protectant Plus.

OPP doesn't leave the rubber/plastic flooring slick but gives it a nice sheen.
