Envious Detailing: AUDI interior and s550 paint correction

Alright first up, the Audi Interior job I did today.

2 kids, soccer mom style, lots of food and junk all over, dirty leather and slight smell in the car! 7 hours total to do a full interior (5 hours), and a simple wash and wax (1.5 hours)

Process:
Dusting of whole interior
VERY THOROUGH vacuuming
all plastics were hit with an APC and a soft bristle brush to get between cracks and crevices
carpets sprayed with carpet shampoo
scrubbed with a stiff brush
hot water extracted to remove deep dirt and grime and soap
leather cleaned with a different APC and same soft brush as plastics
re-vacuumed
all plastics dressed with a uv protectant
leather conditioned
car was then washed and waxed, wheels cleaned and tires dressed, then windows...DONE!

On to the pics:

BEFORES

AFTERS - notice the first pic, some stains are not coming out, but can be reduced!

Up Next is the s550 I did for the same guy with the NOVA and the 63 belair

Problems with this car, swirling, slight oxidation...and a harder clearcoat making it harder/longer to remove defects from the paint.

Befores

Afters...I hope to get some sun shots in the next few days...i finished at 8pm on this one!

and a split shot side by side comparison to get a process down...I'd say I found a good one...

This car took over 10 hours! but the results were worth it in the end!!!

Looks great!

Have you tried 303 carpet cleaner on that really bad spot? I've found it able to take out almost anything!

Very nice job on the interior. I find that the light colored plastic pieces (kick panels in particular) are some of the most challenging, and you did a stellar job on those. Magic Erasers also work great on them. I feel your pain on the carpet stain though...some are just too deep to permanently correct.

Re: Envious Detailing: AUDI interior and s550 paint correction

yeah the carpet stain has been worked on by me, and the owner with about 6 different chemicals/stain removers...he did nothing to it, I removed what I could. I worked on that spot for about 15 straight minutes, then let some folex eat at it for 20 min while I worked elsewhere...nothing!

excuse the polish dust on the s550 in one of the hood shots, I gave the car a quick wipe down before I left!

Re: Envious Detailing: AUDI interior and s550 paint correction

toyotaguy- Great work on both

I was almost afraid to look when I saw the title of the thread, actually that interior was a lot better than some service loaners I've felt compelled to clean up. At least the wood looked OK.

And yeah...some carpet stains are forever no matter *what* you try.
