Rasky's AD: Kia Sorento

Co-workers Kia Sorento. Full detail, 1-step buff with M205...nothing crazy. Not a lot of afters either as the owner showed up just as I finished.

Before

crazy oxidation on the rubber around the glass, probably from touchless washes.

I had a heck of a time capturing the paint condition, not sure if it was from the orange peel or what, but it was a real pain.

50/50 with M205 via Flex 3401 and W8207 pad, speed 5.

After

Thanks for looking,
Rasky

Actually the oxidation cleaned right up with a MF towel and some glass cleaner.

Great work, that red has come up really nice!

What was the product and process used on the black trim, i too have a Kia and its looking the same way. Have used APC to wash it then KAIO to clean it but it still there in place and comes back quite soon.

Thanks
Geoff

Actually I tried KAIO on a spot too and it worked very well. When I was cleaning the windows I noticed the glass cleaner took the oxidation right off so I just went with that.

Not sure if it will come back soon or not but I did mention to the owner what I used to remove it.

Nice work. I love DD cleanups. What pad did you use with the M205?

Thanks!

I don't mind doing basic work at all. I LOVE full correction jobs, but these can be done in a day and don't burn you out either.

Meguiar's W8207 polishing pad. I did spot hit a few RIDS/scuffs with M105 too.

Re: Rasky's AD: Kia Sorento

Any idea which LC pad Meguiar's 8207 pad compares to?
