CLK 55 ready for sale.

I liked this one as well. It was probably one of the quickest details I did last season. The paint corrected very easily. It looked like a train wreck when it came in. It's a dealers car. and it really showed. There's no getting to perfection here. Broken emblems and such.. But honestly I would still drive it LOL.

Show it shows up at about 9:30am sun just getting high enough to really show what I'm in store for. Swirled to high heaven. yea good lord right?

Opened up the doors to check out the interior.... Ehh. Looks like normal wear and tear to me for the most part.

So I pull it into the bay and pop open the hood to see what I have to deal with underneath... Dirty but not horrible.. Excpet for the broken emblem.

The rims were getting tarnished..

Normal use of the back seat.

The trunk area was fairly normal I guess.

But I extracted it and groomed it up for the astetics.

moved on to the inside. same thing. Some shampoo srub and extract.. Followed by grooming. Used some leather cleaner on the leather. (sorry no in process pics of me using it) and then dressed it with leather conditioner for a nice soft feel afterwards.

On to the outside. Started by using my "hawaian shine' Auto shampoo. I really like this stuff. Works great as a conditioner and is very versitle. Works great in a foam gun as well.

Again I absoultly suck when it comes to actual in process pics but next up I took car of the nasty *** tips.

Got the engine bay all cleaned and dressed

Then I got to the polishing of the beast..

Seems like my goto polish is the megs 85. It just seems to work well for what I need. After megs with foam I switched over to a micro polish (house brand from a distributer) and then finished it up with Ultrafina SE. Topped it off with MAX WAX. and pulled it out for some pics.. Again just a dealer car but I liked the transformation. The whole detail took me close to 3 or 4 hours I think. Not to bad. I could've spent alot more time on it if I wanted to but the dealer wanted it on the lot ASAP.. so be it.

Rims back to a bright brillant shine

Reflections

Fun detail and probably one of the first details I did that really got me thinking about changing my mind about my target clients. Thanks for looking.

Re: CLK 55 ready for sale.

Yea at first glance I thought I was in for a long *** detail. But I was amazed how quickly the paint leveled out on this one. I think the car actually sold that afternoon if I'm not mistaken.

Re: CLK 55 ready for sale.

Yea I hate being in a time crunch but they already had this one lined up for sale and made it clear that time was priority. Normally they just tell me to take as long as I need. The XLR, BMW X5, Lexus, and Green Tahoe were all from the same dealership and this was the only one they really wanted back quick like. Good thing I was used to just working fast LOL. Although I really could've spent alot more time on it.

Re: CLK 55 ready for sale.

Wow, you are lightning fast. Just the wash, clay, interior and claying would have taken me 4 hours..lol.

I'm afraid to see how fast you could get done using M105 instead of M85, and M205 for a single step final polish...

Re: CLK 55 ready for sale.

How do you get the lines in the carpet? Do you do it with the vacuum?
