This one came in a complete friggin mess. It's a construction companies feild truck. There was cement dirt mud... well you name it it was probably in here. The rubber floor was going to make it easier I thought... NOPE! once I did the intial wipe down the cement was ground right down into the rubber. I figure this was going to be a long day.
Even in the door... Do they have no shame.. :
yep even the back was beyond trashed....
So I started by heating up the extractor. "Now jake there's no carpet in that truck at all why are doing that?" I needed the heat to deep clean the rubber floor. I started with some citrus foaming cleaner. (actually I think I started with some APC that didn't work so I played around until I found something) and then started scrubbing the dickens out of everything and then some. Finally it started to come clean.
After a few more hours on what is usually an easy job (no carpeting usually means quick clean up) I got it done.
Someone did ask me if I dressed the floor becuase of how they came out and I remind them the first rule of rubber flooring is never dress it. I just scrubbed the hell out of it and use good techniques to get it back to that condition.
let me be the first to say congratulations on a great job!
the main thing i've learned here from the results of people like yourself who are facing what seem to be impossible tasks is to keep trying because something WILL work.

Yea I would hate to even think about what carpet would look like in there. I did a tow truck that was every bit as bad as well. Taught me a good lesson. Rubber flooring on a personal vechile usually ='s gravy work... Rubber flooring on well used work turcks... Yea think again.
