Hello all, this is the 2nd time I have done this car and I went a different route this time and I believe the results were awesome. I'm not exactly sure on the mods but the owner said it was around 500whp. The car had recently been to the dealer for some warranty work and when the owner picked it up the service manager told him "we buffed your car with some cleaner wax for ya". As you know there were several areas of deeper swirls and buffer trails and holograms on a majority of the paint. I was going to just do a single step polish to remove the trails and holograms but owner and I decided on doing a 2 step and going for the 90-95% range. Overall the car came out great and the owner was stoked.
Process was:
Wash via ONR
Clay Meguiars #105 via Green LC Pad @ 1500-1200RPM's
Optimum Polish via Black LC Pad @ 1400-1200RPM's
Chemical Guyz EZ Creme Glaze via Black LC Pad @ Speed 6 on PC
Optimum Opti-Seal x2 (1 coat of OS to wheels, headlights, tail lights)
Optimum Car Wax
Interior Leather was cleaned and conditioned with Zaino Z9 and Z10.
Now onto the pictures.
They sure don't like the vertical panels
Tons of grime and salt from the wintry mix we had earlier that week.
This was after Meguiars #105. I didn't wipe the paint because the sun was going back and forth between the clouds so I wanted to snap a picture to make sure the swirls and holograms were removed.
The after pictures were tricky as the sun was behind the trees in the driveway, behind clouds, etc. So I did what I could do but the finish was about 95% defect free. Only some deeper ones remained.

You should have took off that stupid dealer badge for the owner. If im going to pay a premium price for a premium car believe me, I dont want your badge on it.
Looks good. I love the cts-v's. Just goes to show GM can make a nice car. Too bad its a little too late

annddd to bad GM shut down their performance department.. =(
Not to be a hater, however I seriously doubt that vehicle has 500rwhp unless it is cammed or has forced induction. At that point, there is no way that vehicle is having any warranty work done.
Its supercharged...the cts v has something like 550 at the crank
Yes indeed, the 2009 CTSV's do have 550 ponies...supercharged. The one pictured above either has the LS6(375hp) or LS2(390hp)...depending on the year. They still are a bad *****, for a grocery getter...plus its a Cadillac. If he's got 5 at the wheels...thats sick!
Great detail...the flat black paint on CTSV's are so crisp when done. Looks fantastic.

As noted in the quote below, only the 09s are supercharged (i.e. forced induction). The one in the original post is NOT an 09.

Yup, exactly and in any case the one above is not an 09. It is nice and I'm not taking away from that. But there needs to be MAJOR work done to it in order to get to 500 at the wheels given there is about 15% drivetrain loss from the crank numbers. It is very possible to achieve, but then you wouldn't have any warranty.
