Fine polishing/jewelling:GI Beta fine finishing polish without EVP

Lsp:GI Signature sealant followed with GI Concorso

Tires:GI Signature tire dressing
Trim:GI T.R.V

Interior:GI Interior cleaner
Leather:GI Leather polish

GI denotes Gloss-it products

Wash and clay

Rids & swirls

Cleaning with the new wheel gel

After rinsing wheel is sano

Taping off sensitive areas

Clevie wool pad correcting

Compounding swirls to correct

First LED shot to inspect finish after all the steps

Different spectrum of light Infratech (thanks phil @ Detailers Domain)

Shot under T10 high output bulbs

Carbon fiber is plentiful

By anyone's definition this Maybach is now a " Beautiful Machine " .

Strong work, that seems like a hard color to work with.

Re: 09 Maybach correction x 2

Looks good, but I have a question for you guys. I understand masking off the edges and plastic trim, but what purpose does it serve to mask of the chrome/stainless pieces?

I usually buff over those with no trouble. Of course they weren't Maybachs!!!!

Thanks in advance for your replies.

Re: 09 Maybach correction x 2

Wool compound swirls on stainless can be almost impossible to remove so "when in doubt tape it up" plus if the trim is damaged can you imagine how much that might cost to replace, this thought does not give me a warm and fuzzy feeling to say the least(it would be BANK!!!!!).

On most cars the trim piece is plastic with chrome or black chrome plating, thet do not respond well to the heat rotary buffing produces(lessons learned along time ago).

Thanks for the quick reply. I usually use foam pads, never had to use my wool yet, and as for the rotary I know to be careful but I guess it never hurts to be too careful!!

Thanks again
