New Audi Q7 + Mystery machine sneak peek

This customer picked up his new Audi Q7 on Friday and before I got the chance to tell him, "DON'T LET THEM PREP IT!" the deed had already been done... I started off with my usual before 1st wax mixture of No-Touch snow foam (10%) and HD-Extra degreaser (5%), let it soak for about 5 minutes while I filled up my 2 wash buckets. With the washing all finished, I left it wet and proceeded to clay using an ONR mix switching clay pieces (about every 1/2 panel) that I had in a cup of hot water. The muck that came off this 1 week old car didn't surprise me one bit... the bog surprise came once it was dried. Dried her off with my puffy-wuffy no-name towel and then pulled into my new home for the next 2 days . She first received a layer of Porzelack Teflon wax applied by orbital very slowly in hopes of slightly polishing out some of those dealer-induced scratches... did a fairly good job, too. As that was curing I applied Collinite 885 to all the shuts... very quickly. That stuff sets like stone if you let it dry. After I finished the shuts I removed the Tefoln wax and then proceeded to the wheels and gave them a coat of Poorboy's Wheel Sealant and then spruced up the tires with some Insta Finish Super Blue Guard. By the time I finished that it was time to apply the next coat... Supernatural. While that was curing I attacked the front grill with some APC, metal polish and a MF. Now the part of this "dealer prep" that he got that just blew my mind was that the cheeky :censored: prepped a brand new, $60k car by taking it to the friggin' automatic car wash!!! There were brush marks ALL over it! You can't see to much from the pics, but in the last picture, the tail light, it's as clear as day. Un-bleeping-believable... Thanks for reading!

Scratched to hell...

Cheeky bums... automatic car wash...

COMING UP NEXT...

What could be under there??

Outstanding work as usual. I had to laugh when you made the comment "Don't let them prep it". I was lucky enough to avoid the dreaded deal prep when we took delivery of our Mini-Cooper. The dealer throws parties for it's customers throughout the year (BMW/Mini dealer) and during one of them I wandered through the service area and discovered the wash bay. What a chamber of horrors!

That is one nice Audi

Thanks Kevin! I used to sell cars and some of the poop that I saw them do with the cars was just unreal...
