Envious Detailing: Ford F150 white cleanup!

guy wanted his truck cleaned up and ready for sale. he was supposed to meet with a guy later in the day, but the guy flaked on him.

Products:
ONR
Megs aggressive clay
Megs D151 via orange pad/PC
one grand chrome polish
duragloss metal polish (leaves a lot to be desired...)
Megs glass cleaner concentrate
Megs hyper on tires
chemical guys clay luber
chemical guys barebones in wells
megs trim detailer on trim
megs yellow supreme MF
exceldetail monteray waffle weave drying towels

Wheels alone took 3 hours almost. I tried P21s gel cleaner with a dwell time of 2min and it did no better than megs safe-d-greaser cut 4:1...kinda disappointing. Claying took 2 hours as well

Going from this:

TO THIS...took 7 hard hours and I could not feel my hands or wrists anymore...lol. Had to polish the wheels by hand to get them as best I could. heavy brake dust and lost of it was etched in...two rounds of chrome polishing brought them back 90%!

Nice improvement there. He's probably lucky that the other guy flaked out on him.

The trim really catches your attention in the afters.

Great job. Next time use some acidic based product for the wheels. Just dilute it and don't leave on too long, especially if its in the sun.

yeah I have wheel brightener, but no pressure washer to blast it off with...otherwise I would have. but the chrome was pretty jacked up to begin with.

haha, he told me after that when he bought them new they didnt look as good...wish he would have told me that because then I would have figured from the start that 90% was all I was going to achieve...

Ouch, 3 hours on the wheels and 2 claying. You did a great job getting the truck ready for sale!
