Detailer's Domain: Porsche GT3RS

This was a very low mile car in a private collection. Pretty much in great shape needed a clean up/polish and some Swissvax treatment.

(sorry in advance for the bad pictures.)

Brief info on this beast Porsche 997 GT3 RS

The first, and highly anticipated, 911 is the upcoming GT3 RS -- which will make an appearance worldwide. The GT3 RS uses the wider rear fenders of the Carrera 4, a wider rear track, a more aggressive rear wing, and a modified front spoiler lip. The RS will be offered in the same 1970s colours that made the 1973 Carrera RS famous, as evidenced by the bright orange and green roll bars in test mules as well as the edges where their black peelcoats are shrinking. The new GT3 RS will lose weight compared to the standard 997 GT3 with items like a carbon-fiber wingtop, the extensive use of composite bodywork, and lightweight glass. It will homologate several changes for the upcoming 2007 GT3 RSR race car, possibly including a 3.8-liter flat six instead of the 3.6-liter, 415-hp unit in the new GT3.

Below are the tools and products used:

Einszett Perls Shampoo
Swissvax Paint Rubber (Yellow) and Optimum Instant Detail Spray and Gloss Enhancer for clay lube
Menzerna SIP
Menzerna PO85RD -
Menzerna Top Inspection
Swissvax Cleaner Fluid
Swissvax Crystal Rock

Wheels and Tires
Swissvax Pneu
P21S Wheel Cleaner Gel
Boar’s Hair Wheel Brush
Foam applicator pads
Swissvax Quick Finish
Swissvax Detail Brush
Swissvax Wheel Brush

Glass inside and out:
Lusso Glass Polish
Uber Glass MF Towels

Interior:
Leather Master Trio
Einszett Cockpit

Tools:
Infratech 5300
Makita 9227 Hi Speed Rotary
The Uber Foam Pads (5.5inch)
Tons of "Uber" Microfiber Towels
Uber Drying Towels

Cam Spray 1500A with Cam Spray Foam Gun
Infratech CM5300

So what do you do after you make a huge puddle in your detailing bay : )

You use one of these: (very cool machine)

And you clean up : ) so you have a nice dry work area again.

Oh, this is so funny...I looked at the first few pics and said wow what a nice shop to work in, then saw the wash pictures and said wow, what a nice shop AND with floor drains...or is he going to wet vac it up...and then I see the floor scrubber pics...just coincidentally I have been looking at floor scrubbers for work...

Nice job Phil looks awesome, that white looks unbelievable. Have you ever thought about teaching classes or having get togethers up your way? I would be more than willing to travel from Maryland for something like that and I am sure others would to. Great work!

Chas
