Ford F150, black...
first off, ill be the first to say it, I need to take more and better pictures...I never seem to remember to take them. Always seems that I just get to work and that's all I focus on...weird ....or is that a good thing? You tell me...
Anyway, here is a Black Ford F150 I recently did a two step on. Results were about 90-95% from the two step, could have used three to make it perfected.
problems with this car...hmm, let's see:
heavy swirling
holograms from previous detailer
slight oxidation
faded trim
water spots all over the wheels and lower portions of the truck
...and its BLACK!!!
Products used:
PC
menzerna SIP
lc orange 5.5" pads
optimum poliseal
lc white 5.5" pads
meguiars trim detailer
one grand chrome polish
chemical guys barebones
meguiars blue clay
chemical guys luber clay lubricant
3m green painters tape
Hood received 3 steps, M105, SIP, poliseal as it was pretty torn up
Before pics:
This is what the clay was like after just half the tailgate! both sides:
Here are the After pics, and like I said, I need to make time for more pictures and setup the vehicle in proper lighting.
Thanks for looking and comments are welcomes as always!

Re: Ford F150, black...
You have the account for all the prep time when doing a detail. Taping, pictures, setting up. As well as making sure to properly document all the after pictures and such. Just make a habit of it and you will be fine.
Also, did you use a PC, Flex, Rotary?
Truck came out great nonetheless. I'm sure the owner was thrilled.

Re: Ford F150, black...
used only the PC
I was starving at the end of the detail, and so was my help...7 straight hours, no break, no food, about 8oz water only...I was beat.
Owner was happy for sure: "oh man, the wheels never looked that good before," and "damn, no more swirls"

Re: Ford F150, black...
yep, and it was "oh its not that bad, I take pretty good care of it!" Best intentions, but it never saw a real detail I dont think. He did say he had a guy who would detail it in the past, but he wasnt really happy with the results...I can see why.
so now I get to go back on saturday and do another few cars for him, then maintain them every couple of months. He lives over an hour away from me, so therefore I cannot do it weekly
