First off let me say this car made me work for a good final finish! it had about everything you could think off wrong with it. Bad repainted panels, dirty engine, filthy interior, everything was just an insult to such a nice car. this car is female owned with only 30,000 miles. so i did the best i could. you will see the pics!
The products and process will be describe with the pics!
Its been 30 degrees here in pa for a while now so i started with a ONR rinse. then a clay with some taping.
here are some before pics
ok at this point you have somewhat of an idea what i was up against
after the ONR i decided to start the claying process which took about to hours, i caly everything you could poissibly think of! im a big fan of clay and feel its a vital step to prep work! so here is a picture of the clay when i was finished! this clay was brand new and now its finished!
next i started the disasemble which in voled removing the rear spolier and readin antenna not much work but fun! i love pulling stuff apart!
Next i blew out all cracks and made the car completly dry. THis is very important for the tape to stick and also ever try compound a wet car! personally i think it sucks!

At this point i usally do a test panel starting with the least aggressive poilsh and working my down but today was different! i wnet right to m105! with a white 2inch pile schegal wool pad now m105 with this pad is aggressive and will leave hazizing so i ll follow up with m105 and blue egde wool pad, then to refine the finish ill use edge double sided yellow foam pad with m105 at this point if done correctly i will use pad texture instead of swicthing compounds i don't see this method on autopia much but i found it to work great with a car in this shape! so now the 50/50
here is a picture of my stage of poilshing arsenal!
products and tools!
at this point the paint is level and here are some shots after all three steps and isopro wipe. this is a key step beacuse it will remove any oils from the m15 and make sure you have a true finish before the polishing!
now i pulled the car out in the sun to check my job with the m10 and here are to shots to show it out side!
at this point the car was rinsed and degreased it got up to like 38 degrees it was a cold one sorry no pics !

at this point i choose to go to the interior and and get it done so i pulled all the seats helps make it easier for a bigger guy like me to clean a small interior! here some pics!
at this point everything was out of my way the carpet were rough so i blew out all dry dirt from the carpet with air compressor and then dry scrubbed the dirt with a metal wired brush to raise the dirt to the surface and get it all loose!
now all major dirt was out of the car. so i preceeded to steam the interior. when doing this i always start from top to bottom and inside to out!
with the interior complete i wiped down the exterior with spray away glass cleaner to remove any dust on the exterior finish

Now on to the jeweling step! this step took about 3 hours of hitting every spot to level the paint and make it shine. i choose to go with m205 and a blue foam edge pad! here are some shots.
at this point i wipe down with isopro and began to wax the car. once all wax was set i hit the tires with ardex ultra dress concentrate diluteed 5 to 1. i sprayed it with a piant gun. the reason for this unorthadox method is. i found that this tip installed on the gun id designed for clearcoat so it leaves a real nice finish plus save a ton of material!

now that there is a nice save. great turn around and you really worked magic on that interior. i think after a job like that, the owner should have to take a manditory class on vehicle care.
