Black '08 Charger

This one was kind of a repeat customer. I had done two other cars in this family earlier in the year. Very nice family and the kids are very well mannered and a very refreshing change from a lot of the little punks running around today!!

There wasn't much correction needed so the focus was on giving the paint some protection and some depth. He also wanted it debadged.

Process

Wheels and Tires
Presoak w/Megs DG
Tires and wells got OB
Wheels got AW

Paint
Wash w/Dawn
Lightly clayed - not much pulled out of the paint at all
Poli Seal
DWG
AW
Ext. glass got same as paint.

Interior
Vacuumed
Wiped down with woolite/water
Dash trim got OS

Looks very nice!

Why did the customer want it debadged? Just curious?

Re: Black '08 Charger

I think it was two reasons:

1. He had the car detailed before and the person that did it left a bunch of residue in the badges. So he had to try to get it all out after he paid someone to take care of it for him..........

2. He is putting new wheels on it and wanted to cleaner look to the car.

I, as his detailer, was very happy to do it for him cuz that means an easier job next time I clean it up for him!!

Re: Black '08 Charger

Very nice detail. I don't generally like debadged vehicles, but it really made this one look better. I always enjoy your work.

Re: Black '08 Charger

the car looks great, but i have a question about the woolite and water mix. what is the purpose of using this mixture and what is the dilution ration for it? thanks

Re: Black '08 Charger

Car looks great. I wonder how those tail lites would look tinted.
Woolite is the Bomb!!! mrc1utch - You mix 5:1 and put in a spray bottle, spray on leather and use a brush for cleaning. Other's have said 6:1 or 10:1. It worked on my leather couch better than anything else.

I think a lot of the non RT / SRT Charger owners would rather not advertise that they have the small engine and lower model of the car. Plus it definitely looks cleaner on the big panels of this car.

Great job on the detail!
