Bentley, ML430, Rolls, Lexus
2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed. Did this one a few months ago, unfortunately, the owner lets some place called Auto Spa wash it (not convenient for me to wash it) and they leave a lot of drying streaks and light swirls. He wanted me to initially just wax it but I explained to him it would take some polishing to remove the swirls. In addition, he is no longer allowed to have his car cleaned in his OWN driveway at his condos. I guess the woman next to him complains every time I am out there and last time he got fined. He has a co-worker who lives a few miles away, so I agreed to do the detail there. He e-mails me the night before the detail and says he will be in meetings all morning, so to go to his condo and drive the Bentley to the house I am supposed to detail it at. I e-mail him back "are you sure you want me to load my detailing stuff into the trunk of your car?" and he e-mailed back that it wouldn't be a problem. Anyway, I get to his condo, pull into his garage and swap my stuff into his car. I then had to use my Garmin Nuvi to get to the house I was taking it to since I couldn't figure his nav system out.
Driving to his co-worker's house-notice I was very far away from the 200 mph on the speedometer. I know, crappy cell phone pic but I left my camera in my car, plus it is much easier and safer to snap a quick pic with my cell phone.
Just went with a light polish prior to waxing for the winter. The car needs some deep polishing but until his sorts out the problems the paint is developing from the washing, no point in going nuts on it right now. Used my Pink Moose Plus mix with a blue Soft Edge polishing pad via UDM and sealed with Clearkote's Carnauba Moose.
How does a $200k, 600 hp Bentley drive? It has a really solid feel, steering is very nicely weighted through the rather small steering wheel. Anything more than a quarter throttle and you feel a really nice push. Never came close to getting on it hard but you can tell there is a tremendous reserve of torque. The interior is louder than I expected but then again, this is a "performance" Bentley so I guess they do allow some hum of the engine to be heard from the driver's seat. Very little road noise and thanks to double pane glass (and that I never went over around 50) no detectible wind noise. I imagine it would make an incredible road trip car. Supposed to hit 60 in the 4 second range (12 second quarter miles) and top 200. Very docile in traffic though but you are very aware it is a WIDE car. Plus you get gawkers who drive right next to you.
==============
1999 Mercedes ML430. Been taking care of it on and off since new, mostly off since the owner's daughters have been driving it the last 3 years (bought his wife an '05 ML500). Last polished and waxed in April of '07. Washed it a few times since and the owner washes it and QDs it himself monthly. Even though it really needs some deep polishing (back and forth to high school the past three years will do that), for right now he just wanted the paint protected, and protected well since it sits out 24/7. He is holding off until spring to do any major paint correction.
I went with Werkstat's Prime with a blue Propel finishing pad via UDM and sealed with Optimum Opti-Seal. Pictures are a little dark, bumping up against sunset like usual this time of the year.

Both look great. The Bentley looks orange peel free.

2004 Rolls Royce Phantom. I've posted this one several times and if I hadn't tried something new on it, probably wouldn't have posted it up this time. The owner's road is torn up for repaving so any real paint correction will have to wait until he is no longer driving on a dirt road. Thought I'd give Wolfgang Fuzion a try this time. Doesn't darken the paint quite as much as CMW does but Fuzion does have a pretty wicked liquid glow to it.
Yeah, I know, pick up your MFs off the ground. I can hear y'all screaming that at your monitors. :

2008 Lexus ES350. I seal this one every two months since the owner runs it through a Laser (touchless) wash as many as 5-6 times a week. What can I say? He likes a clean car. It has several layers of Opti-Seal which hold up very well on it. Thought I'd give Fuzion a try on this one too. Dark metallics are really where Fuzion shines (pun intended) anyway.
The last two shots really show what I mean by "glow" and note no muting of the metallics.

It isn't completely orange peel free but it is very minimal. The older style Continental SC I used to do was orange peel free, as you can see here:

Very nice Scott. I have a customer who is looking to get his wife a Bentley CGT as a daily driver. Last I heard he was looking at the baby blue color though.
