OCKlasse Detailed: Heavily Modified CLK500

A total of around 9 hours went into the vehicle, and here is my little write-up of what was done.

First, the car needed to be properly washed. This was done via a Karcher electric pressure washer and a foam cannon with Chemical Guys Maxi Suds II soap.

As the foam was encapsulating the dirt off of the car, I used some P21S wheel gel and a Swissvwax wheel brush to agitate and remove stubborn brake dust from the wheels and calipers.

Nice and dry.

But, there are swirls in direct sunlight.

Since James is a regular customer of mine, I like to do as light of a polishing as possible. This ensures that he will be able to come back many more times without fearing a risk of over-polishing or premature clear coat failure.

In process of polishing…

When I go into the sun, I find my conservative combination works beautifully! Menzerna PO203S via a Lake Country orange pad with my Flex XC3401 polisher.

Underneath the door handles required some attention. Meguair’s M105 with a foam applicator X 3 followed up with the Menz by hand did the trick!
Before:

After:

After polishing, the car received a coat of Danase Wet Glaze, and some Finish Kare 1000P. Sorry for the crappy lighting.

The wheels were Aquawaxed and the tires received multiple coats of Finish Kare #108

The interior was vacuumed, wiped down, and 108ed throughout. The carbon fiber was cleaned and then Aquawaxed. The trim received Finish Kare #425

Hope you enjoyed!

Edit: Professional "after" picture thanks to my buddy Pyrun! Unfortunately, the fires on Saturday were taking a toll on all of our cars at the show

Here's a nice one of mine for the hell of it

Wow, great work. Love the wrapped dash. I was going to comment that he has those back wheels tucked quite nicely, then I noticed your car haha.

But seriously, did you have to move the car to dress the rest of his tire?

They have a slight stretch to them, so I was able to do it without moving the car

Back before my hydraulics, I was so low, I would have to jack up the rear of my car to dress the rear tires

My foam cannon was purchased here:

Cam Spray 527100 - Foamer Attachment

I have a 1500 psi, which is plenty

The car has red seat belts and a red shift boot, along with a suede dash, headliner, and pillars.

Originally the car had a tan interior, and the owner swapped the entire interior, piece by piece, to black

As far as pics of my car...

That turned out great! Nice correction for a mid-level polish and no rotary too.
