ALll in all we didn't get too many pictures because the focus was on training.

Here are a few pictures of the shop:

howareb's buddy Jeff came by who has 27 years of experience with the rotary.

Here he is trying out the makita (he uses a B&D polisher) and the red ccs pad with UF SE which he loves using on his details.

My version of Ed working Meg's 105 to level paint.

Here is DJ demonstrating the proper techniqe.

Believe it or not this is also DJ - showing off his "good side" (he sure is photogenic!)

After Ed finished the trunk we moved to the hood area so he could take the FLEX for a spin and get a feel for it.

I believe we used the same polishing steps on the hood, but Ed sealed it with UPP & here Eric and Ed are checking out the result.

Both of us are taking some pictures outside while the rain stopped for awhile

Basically I'd like to learn more on Interiors and perfect my buffing technique as I don't feel I'm taking enough time and using the PC to its full potential, and seeing how the pros save time and procedures that don't take as long. Also, I don't feel that I'm using the product I use properly/taking enough time with it.

After working on cars for 6 years, I've been seriously considering possibly turning my Detailing hobby into a career that I know will pay me more money.

I appreciate any help that you guys provide in the classes, and appreciate that you guys hold these classes to teach us rookies!

Thanks for your time and help!

-Tim

Shoot, I might make a trip from PA to take in a class. I like meeting up with people who have been in the business longer than I have.

I am still fighting with my internet here, so sorry for jumping in so late on this one.

I am planning to do this like once a month. It seems that everyone has enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah David, I agree and I am working on it. Before these lights were put in I was doing everything by only the halogens. I was quite pleasantly surprised at the amount of light that these fixtures and bulbs give. I am using a Lumichrome full spectrum florescent light (5k color)with a 96 CRI. They make another flourescent with a CRI as high as 98, but I was not too happy with the 6500k light color and the price.

I chose these over metal hallide, because they are easier to install, they are cheaper, they have a higher CRI. Now I just have to get more of them installed.
