2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT

This is a detail of a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. Nothing really spectacular. I was contacted by a client who wanted me to do a quick clean up on his brother's car as a birthday gift. I will be doing the client 911 Turbo Cab in the upcoming weeks.

Since this was a simple clean up without full correction I decided to give Megs 151 a try. I got a sample of 151 from another Autopia member on a product trade. I am still on the fence about this product. I was having some issues with it and my Flex. With a Megs 8006 pad the product was just not easy to work with. I was getting some dusting and it was flashing very quick. My guess was that I was working it at too high of a speed. I decided to switch over to the UDM and it was much easier to use.

I still feel that I get just as good of results with something like DG 501 so I am not sure if 151 will have a place in my aresenal.

Process:

Presoak via Foam Gun with Eagle One Wash Soap and CG CWG
Wash via 2 BM with Megs NXT soap
Wheels cleaned with Megs All Wheel
Tires cleaned with Eagle One Tire Cleaner
LSP=Meguiars 21
Interior wiped down with Woolite 6:1
Interior Vinyl dressed with Sonus Total Eclipse
Leather dressed with Autoglym Leather
Glass cleaned with Zep Glass Cleaner
Tires dressed with Megs All Season Dressing

Cloudy day today so no sun shots

Pat - I too am on the fence with D151. I have only gotten decent correction with it once, and that was on 4" pads on the PC.

Do you typically mix anything with the DG 501 to aid in the cut, or does it have decent cut?

Might be a dumb question but what is DG 501? Also nice work on the Pontiac.

Nice job, Pat. Looks especially wet in the last two pictures.

the seat folds flat and the area can be used as a desk/workstation
the net is used as a storage pocket like a normal seat back
