Volvo S40 revisited

I detailed this one in May of 07 along with their Accord and hadn't heard anything from them. I was worried that they weren't happy with the work even though they seemed ecstatic when I delivered the cars!! Well, when I picked the Volvo up, I found out why I hadn't heard anything....this car was still in great shape!! They seem to take really good care of their cars!! They just bought a new Honda Pilot and I am hoping to get my hands on that soon!!

The owners are super nice and always very pleasant to talk to and work with!!

There wasn't much work to on the car at all. Very little swirling and a few water spots but nothing like what I expected after a year and a half!! Doesn't make for very "fun" before and afters......but oh well!

Process:

Wheels
Megs WB
EZ Detail brush
Top w/OS
Tires
Megs DG
Dressed w/OB through paint gun
(Always kinda freaks me out a little when applying this. Lots of water drops in the dressing and it just doesn't look great at all going on....but then it settles in and makes for a very nice looking tire!!!)
Wells
Megs DG
Adams UC Spray
Paint
Wash w/Dawn
Clay horizontal surfaces w/DP (No contamination showing in the clay when finished)
Polish w/106ff w/orange CCS
No need for a finishing polish
Wiped down w/IPA
Topped w/OS x2
Followed up next day w/AW
Ext. trim got BW
Interior
Vaccuumed carpets and seats
pretreated spots w/Folex
Steam cleaned mats
Steam cleaned dorr sills and all trim peices
Wiped down dash with woolite/water mix
Engine
Wiped down w/Megs DG
Dressed w/Black Magic Matte Tire dressing
(Will look at it tonight before delivery to see how it looks after a night of sitting)

Like I said, not much difference in the B&A's but oh well!!

Re: Volvo S40 revisited

Agreed, this customer takes much better care of his cars than most people. Nice job nonetheless!
