Trying to catch up, trucks, SUVs and cars-56k and DSL warning

2005 Ford F-150. Owned by a customer's son who used the gift certificate his Dad bought him to get the truck cleaned up before his first semester of college. The focus was the interior on this detail since the GC was for a basic (one polishing step) detail.

Before shots of the interior:

Top of the arm rest cleaned, bottom untouched:

After cleaning the vinyl with Optimum Power Clean dilluted 3:1 with water, BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner for the seats and dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.

The fabric wasn't completely dry when I took this picture

Pink Moose+ using my PC and a yellow Meguiars polishing pad followed by Carnauba Moose on the exterior. Needed claying on all the horizontal surfaces too. Ultima Trim and Tire on the trim.

2008 Land Rover. Another customer's son. New vehicle prep, all it really needed was claying (the roof was really bad) and a couple coats of Optimum Opti-Seal.

===========

2008 Acura TSX. Another pretty new vehicle. Needed some light claying, then polished with Zaino All in One using a blue Propel polishing pad and sealed with Opti-Seal. Only a few pictures, no real good place to park the car and the owner and his wife were fixin' to leave for dinner and I didn't want to hold them up.

2007 and 2008 Audi A4s owned by a husband and wife. They got my name from their son, whose GTO I've detailed a couple of times. Overall both cars were in really excellent condition. Both were polished with Pink Moose+ and a yellow Meguiars polishing pad. The '07 was waxed with Meguiars #16 and the '08 with Carnauba Moose. As much as I like #16 on white, CMW most definitely looks better to me, a richer look to #16's brighter appearance. Probably can't tell by the pictures (ugly, cloudy day, the lighting sucked) but I could when they were side by side.

2004 Porsche Cayenne Turbo. Last time I will be detailing it, next Tuesday is the last time I will be washing it. The owner and 14 year customer is moving to Sante Fe, New Mexico late next week.

I had waxed it a month or so ago and washed it a few weeks ago to find the driver's side was covered in water spots. Ugh. Soft black Porsche paint covered in water spots. I wasn't looking forward to a really long day of polishing so I tried Optimum's waterspot remover (work in progress still) using a microfiber applicator. I soaked the pad pretty good, then wiped it on the paint, letting it dwell for a minute or so, then washing it with ONR.

As you can see, it worked quite well.

Definitely took everything off the paint, ONR was laying flat on the panels when I rewashed each section. There were a couple areas of light marring where I had to rub the waterspot remover with a little more gusto so I polished the car with the new version of Optimum Polish (noticably more cut, still finishes out very well) and then waxed with the jar of Wolfgang Fuzion I got from Toto.

Awesome work Scott. Surprise surprise...

Any info about when the rest of us folks will be able to try out the new OP and that water spot remover?

2008 BMW 535i. New vehicle to replace their '07 X5 POS version. Tons of problems with the X5, so the dealer gave them high book value and $5000 off the 535. The paint was remarkably swirl free, so I clayed it and put a couple coats of Opti-Seal on it.

Okay, seriously. What could possibly have been the thought process behind this wheel design. Hey Fritz, our brake pads leave tons of dust on the wheels, can you design a wheel with a groove behind the spokes so it takes even longer to clean the wheels?

Pardon me Scott, I've been out of the loop for a bit, um...what new Optimum Polish? Is it out? And this would be v.3? Since the second version was the unclumped or non-clumping?

The water spot remover is an acid? Liquid, cream, what?

Polish should be out soon, either it will have to be thinned a bit (which may affect performance) or the nozzle on the bottle drilled out since the new version is thicker than the old one. No idea on the waterspot remover, he's been working on it a couple years now. Worked great on the Porsche, so-so on a BMW I did earlier in the summer.

Mike-the waterspot remover is vinegar based.

The new OP is out . I got it from one of the vendors that sells Optimum. I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The new version is definitely thicker than prior versions.

Very nice work Scott. The water spot remover sounds interesting.
