This is my friend Angelo's 2000 Integra Type R, it needed A LOT of work. I do not think the car has been touched in a LONG time but the car always looked good, but it needed to be polished real bad. Re: Presidential Detailed: 2001 Acura Integra Type-R

NOW TO THE FUN PART! EXTERIOR! Unfortunately, I took all before pictures of the door jambs and forgot to get after shots, but everything I took a picture of was either removed or cleaned

Washing the wheels and door jambs..

Claying the car..

Test Spot on the hood...

50/50 on hood with Menzerna IP/LC PFW Pad

The wheels get the best treatment possible, I swear that wheel wasnt floating when I took the picture!

Taking the wing off, this enables me to polish the trunk lid the correct way.

Re: Presidential Detailed: 2001 Acura Integra Type-R

Taping off the car...

Did I mention this was a Jap car??

It aint a tight car unless its Type R!

50/50 on Front Fender after IP/PFW

Did I mention this car needed to be polished??

It needed to be washed at this point!

Last shots for day 1...Still need to go over again with 106ff/white and put LSP on.

After the wing bottom was polished, we re-installed to do the top. The tape is so that I dont hit the already polished fenders while polishing the wing...

Final Rinse Down..

FINALLY FINISHED!!! This is when everything pays off! :nerd:

The infamous pose! Yes, in YELLOW!!

A Happy Customer!

And off she goes...

Re: Presidential Detailed: 2001 Acura Integra Type-R

Thanks! Many people get a worried look when I tell them I am going to take apart their car, but I have to reiterate the car would look horrible if I didnt..Imagine that well of a correction and then half the trunk..haha!

HERES AFTER PICTURES OF INTERIOR! SORRY!

Great work. Terrible tire choice by the customer...I woulda recommended better wheels as well.

Good job Twanksta! That yellow looked dead when you received it, and you did a great job of bringing it back to life.

I agree. It doesnt get driven too much, he also had Drag Radials in the garage when he needs them. He says he wants better wheels, but the car will then become a real theft magnet in the area he lives in. As of right now it looks like a stock type-r, when it is actually FAR from it!

TSC, Thanks! I was real happy with how this one turned out! You did a fantastic job on that mustang as well! I just got my M105 in, Im kinda excited to use it. I have a feeling I am going to hate it at first though! haha!

Re: Presidential Detailed: 2001 Acura Integra Type-R

Better wheels than the stock Type-R's?

Awesome correction.

Re: Presidential Detailed: 2001 Acura Integra Type-R

Really good job on the type R. Rare to see one in yellow instead of the all too common championship white. Too bad they didn't sell the Type R model DC5 when it came out in 2002 but oh well.

Re: Presidential Detailed: 2001 Acura Integra Type-R

funny because we have 3 in my area that come out alot! haha! But yes, they are usually pretty rare. One of my other friends also has a Champ White one which I will be doing once he fixes up a couple things.
