Do you have an extractor for the carpets?
Did you sand the etching, or did the SIP take care of it?
What were your procedures?

What exactly caused this etching?

charles: Im not sure what it was, after I washed the car and stripped the glaze and wax, thats what was underneath! I used a waterspot remover then finished it with a finishing polish.
