Re: Swissvax Concorso finish on a black corvette

Looks fantastic. Excellent work. It's odd though, my concorso is a different color than yours. Mine is more pinky/purple, yours looks more like butter. I wonder if they changed it.

other then Optimum, do you use more products for paint correction...
Did you try Menzerna ?
Well I'm not a professional so I don't have a lot of experience with a lot of products. I just lurk in this forum to look at the car porn. With that said, I've used M105 for heavy cutting and 3M Perfect III RC for medium cutting before with pretty good results. I haven't had a chance to use the Menzerna line yet. I started a thread in the product forum asking if the Menzerna line was a good choice to use in our weather conditions. A few said yes so I may try some in the future.

Re: Swissvax Concorso finish on a black corvette

Looks nice!

I'm surprised that Optimum Polish worked well on that hard Corvette clear. I have worked on a lot of Corvette's and think there are much better products out there. Do you detail many Vettes? You should get yourself some Menzerna, 3M & Meguiars polishes to try out if you are looking for more agressive polishes / compounds to try. It will make your job much easier with better results IMO. Optimum does have a long working time though, which is good if you are polishing in the sun.

Anyways, looks great!
