2 cars, 1080 horsepower
I am using a different uploader, sometimes it goes away for a day or two-but photohost seems to be completely gone and the Autopia gallery still isn't allowing uploads. Any suggestions for hosts that allow generous hotlinking would be appreciated!
2008 Bentley Continental GT Speed. 600 hp, supposed to run deep in the 12 in the quartermile and capable of 200 mph.
Nice dealer prep-
The car was actually pretty dirty, it has been raining on and off the last 6 days in Dallas after a real dry summer. Gave it a wash with Optimum No Rinse and clayed with Clay Magic Blue.
Polished (I know, not the same area, I had to take sun shots as I could when the sun would pop out for 30-40 seconds). On the trunk lid, I had to use Optimum Compound with a yellow Meguiars polishing pad @ 1400, finishing at 1000 rpm, the rest of the car had very minimal spider swirls to go along with the light dealer installed holograms, which I was able to take care of using 3M Ultrafina using a blue Ultrafina pad @ 1000-1800-1000 rpms.
After polishing, I washed it again with ONR, then went over the whole car with Clearkote's Red Machine Glaze via PC using a blue Soft Edge polishing pad and waxed with Carnauba Moose.
Double pane glass!

Re: 2 cars, 1080 horsepower
If anyone can answer this question, I would appreciate it. All the wood trim (appears to be piano black) has buffer hazing. From what I can tell, the only way to correct it would be to remove all the trim and repolish it. Of course, the customer was pretty upset when I pointed it out and is going to let the dealer know if it can't be corrected, he wants it replaced. Anyone ever polish out wood trim like that? How did you do it?

Re: 2 cars, 1080 horsepower
Isn't wood in cars cleared like paint? So i'm assuming you could hand polish it with whatever you desire to use. I would suggest something like like 106FA or 85rd to start with. I could be wrong though, but it was my understanding that the wood in newer cars is cleared.

Re: 2 cars, 1080 horsepower
Great job, Scott!! I've been looking over your threads for months now, trying to decide if I want to purchase the Clearkote line or not... still cannot believe CMW on black. A couple questions before I pull the trigger on those products.
1.) Do you have a link to the edge pads you use for RMG?
2.) How do you prefer to apply CMW? Hand, Machine? Pad preference? TIA!!!

Scott-
As always, great work! I'm really intrigued by the leather product that you're using these days. Question though, is there any reason why you don't just use OPP on leather like the rest of the interior? Just curious.
As far as picture storage, I use Photobucket and like it a lot. I've never had any issues with it.
Again, love your work!

1) The pads are actually made by American Buffing.
Soft Edge Dual Action Foam Pads - 6.75'' - 1.25'' Thickness"
American Buffing Company
2) I apply CMW by hand using a foam hand applicator to the whole car, then go back and remove.
mshu7-OPP is great on leather but nothing is better than Leather Master's Leather Vital. Soaks in quickly, very light scent that doesn't interfere with the natural leather smell (especially important in newer cars) and has a very light sheen that makes the leather look new.

Re: 2 cars, 1080 horsepower
Fantastic work, Scott. Two of the sexiest cars on the planet right there.
Can't you use an AIO, like Klasse or Zaino to polish out wood trim? I'll be curious to see what others say.

That Bently is amazing!
The Porsche is too, except the interior color makes me gag.
