Park Avenue Detailing: Volkswagen Cabriolet

This car had a repaint and was wetsanded then sat in storage for many years. Paint turned out good with minimal orange peel.

Process:

SIP with Orange CCS via Flex
PO106FF with Green CCS via Flex
Souveran by hand

You really are an artist, it looks great. I'm sure it's just the results of your excellent technique, but every time I look at your work it makes me want to buy the Souveran.

Re: Park Avenue Detailing: Volkswagen Cabriolet

I just love your technique Paul, nice job. I have a question about the LC CCS pads.

I am a brand new Flex owner and also got the LC CCS pad assortment. According to the Lake Country site, the Green pad has more cut than the white pad, but I notice that you often use the green pad to do finishing polishing. Feeling the pads with my hands, it does seem like the green pad is softer then the white and would be perfect for use with the Menz final finish products.

I just wanted to get your opinion on the use of the pad order using the Flex. I get using the orange first, no problem there. Would you then go to the white and then green or vice versa?

I really respect your work and just wanted to get an idea of how you select your pads for each step. Thanks in advance.

I love that car. Reminds me of high school. Every decent looking broad had one.
