Whippled Cobra

03-04 black whippled cobra detail

Exterior only, paint has typical black paint swirls and some bad hard water etching. Owner and i decided to do an AIO with a coat of EX topped with Natty blue. total time 4 -4 1/2 hours

DID NOT DO ENGINE BAY BUT POSTED A PIC BECAUSE I FIGURED YOU ASK.

Washed - foam gun ,two bucket, DP extreme soap and poorboys bugsquash

AIO - done with pc with poliseal and orange 5.5 pad to try and get the most correction we could from pc and aggressive pad.

2nd step- coat of EX let cure on car for 45- 1 hour.

LSP - a coat of nattys blue , final wipe down for inspection by owner done with megs ultimate QD.

Wheels- washed with SURFCITY

Tires - dressed with optimum

Outside plastics and trim- Dressed with bold n bright.

Turned out real well considering it was only AIO ed ,next time maybe ill talk him into a 1 or 2 step paint correction.

Re: Whippled Cobra

the poliseal is great to work with ,i actually started the car using HT-69 and had trouble getting it off so i switched. The HT-69 has more correction ability but its finiky some times. If you didnt order the ht yet and you want a sample let me know.

Re: Whippled Cobra

I love the car and with using just Poli Seal the level of correction is great. However why in your pictures does it say "Do fish get thirsty? Take the dumb test now." After every picture??

I was wondering the same thing and wanted to click the link but didn't...haha

Anyway great job on the car, I went out to VIR in an 03 cobra that was mostly stock and it was scary fast.

Re: Whippled Cobra

That paint needs a lot more help than an AIO. Sadly, it can be hard to convince customers of this.

Re: Whippled Cobra

That's an incredible looking Cobra with those wheels. The paint looks wasted and I'll bet has a bad case of acid rain damage.
