Black Denali on 22's

Buddy of mine got this one a couple months ago and instatly put the 22's on it. It was in really good shape with the usual swirling. This thing has all the bells and whistles.

I had one brain-fart and one "uh oh" happen during this detail.

Brain-Fart - Sprayed the wheels at the last part of Saturday so it could sit all night and I wouldn't have to worry about sling. It was almost 8PM and had been out there since 9AM and was beat. We were going to my favortie pizza place for dinner and my head wasn't in the detail at all!! Came out Sunday to find that I had forgotten to wipe off the excess... It was like epoxy on the rims!! It took almost three hours to polish the wheels out to get all that stuff off!

Uh Oh - About halfway through the detail my FLEX quit working. I though it might be the thermal shutdown I had experienced a couple weeks ago but it never started working again. I hopped on the Forum to ask some questions...but no one knew anymore about it than I did. So I called a service center, talked to a guy and found out that the ext. cord I was using wasn't a thick enough gauge wire. Bought a new one and it worked great the rest of the weekend!

Process:
Customer had already washed it on the way to dropping it off.
Clayed w/DP clay
Polish
SIP w/PFW
KAIO w/white CCS
Topped w/KSG, P21S and AW
Interior
Steamed the leather
Conditioned w/DG Conditioner
Carpets were vaccumed and spot treated w/FOLEX
Dash and all plastic parts got woolite and water mix
Rim, tires and wells
Rims (cuz I got lazy) got Black Magic chrome polish and OS
Tires got Black Magic Matte dressing
Wells got Adams undercarriage spray

Nice work! How bad was the roof? I did a black XL last year and never thought I'd be done.

Looks to be an '06, if I'm judging the cargo door glass correctly. Nice machine, and I bet he got a screamin' deal on it. Now he needs to drop that thing - an XL on 22's @ stock height just don't look right.

The roof was in great shape!! Nothing scary about it at all...other than havin' to hike my fat a$$ up there to polish and wax it!! LOL!!

It is an '06 and he did get a screamin' deal on it!! Between family and friends he always seems to have a car load of people wherever he goes so it comes in very handy for him.

Thanks for the comments guys!!
