Re: Blue Jaguar S-Type - Extensive Paint Correction!
Upon inspection under the halogens, I noticed that the top surfaces had some severe etching from lack of any protection over the years as well as yellow road paint in the wheel wells and on the lower body panels. The paint was extremely swirled and had a good amount of RIDS, bird bomb etchings, etc..
First, I removed the yellow road paint by using a combination of acetone, body solvent, plastic razor blades and a clay bar. After the road paint was removed, I masked off the body panels and spray painted the wheel wells satin black. I then clayed the entire exterior and wiped down the body with 91% alcohol to ensure the surface was free of any contaminants whatsoever before polishing.
After choosing a test panel and testing out various products and pads, I decided to use Meguiar’s 105 on a yellow Meguiars So1o foam pad for all of my heavy correction work. M105 worked well to cut through the heavy defects, but multiple polishing sessions were required to fully remove them. I decided to use Menzerna Super Intensive Polish on a yellow Meguiars So1o foam pad for a middle step, which heightened the gloss tremendously. I chose Menzerna 85rd for the final step to achieve the best finish possible.

Looks like you have gotten blue down (the blue BMW you posted recently looked awesome also). Hell, I think you have every color down - LOL.

Amazing how the color changed. Looked a little blue-gray before, but a beautiful blue after. Nice job reviving that wrecked paint.
