1999 VW Jetta-Mercy Detail

This is a detail of my sister's 1999 VW Jetta that I did this past Memorial Day weekend at the beach. I like to call it the "Mercy Detail" because the car was trashed. But hey...What are big brothers for right?? Since my 1967 Nova is stored in her garage I guess I was obligated to take care of it

I did tell her to invest in some new wheel covers as well

Nothing spectacular...just alot of time and fighting the sun even with my EZ Up Canopy.

Process: Day One (4 hours Interior)

Clean entire interior with combo of Woolite 6:1 and APC 10:1
Steam Cleaned most fabric surfaces
Dress interior with Sonus Total Eclipse

Day Two (5 Hours-Exterior)

Wheels cleaned with Megs All Wheel Cleaner
Tires Dressed with Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Spray
Polish hood and truck with 105 via Makita 9227 and foamed purple wool
Polish with Optimum Polish via Makita 9227 and white Sonus SFX pad and 4 inch LC CCS pad
LSP=Wolfgang 3.0 Sealant via UDM and Sonus Blue pad
Glass cleaned with Eagle One 20/20
All exterior trim dressed with NXT Tech Protectorant

This is the first time I had a chance to try the new Wolfgang 3.0 Sealant. I feel it is huge improvement over the original version. I applied it via the UDM and a Sonus Blue DAS pad. The Wolfgang applied very easy with no streaking.

I allowed it to haze and buffed with a the new Cobra Miracle Towel. WOW..the flake really came out in the finish and it was so easy to remove. I am curious to see how it holds up durability wise compared to the older verison of Wolfgang.

Pros:

Easy to apply and remove
Removal is a breeze
Very crisp sealant look

Cons:

None.

Don't those wheel covers just need some rattle can love? Or are they actually gouged in those spots...either way, would have to look better painted. The rest of the car looks new!

Great detail! Those poor wheels (or covers I can't tell) really need replacing.

No "before" pics?

I love seeing the trash-to treasure pics.

I want to do this to my sister-in-law's car, but I have no reason to be that generous w/ a big chunk of time.
