We should never induce marring in the washing or waxing process, but you never know when something my land in the paint. Wipe that contaminant in the door by going front to back and you are creating book shelves that will catch the sun at every angle in the sky and be very visible. Wipe up and down and any marring that may occur on occasion will be hidden from the sun unless at very steep angles.
Great point Todd. Beautiful work as always.

Howcome you used 3m compound instead of 105? Is the 3m extra cut better with the ferrari paint?

Thank you Aaron! Yes it took way too long to do the write up this way which is probably why I haven't done a write up since!

Great job on the detail, pictures and write-up!

It would probably take me more time to type all of that than it would have to detail the whole car

Nice work!!!
LOL, Thanks Rick!!!

I love the new rear valence, this was the first F430 I did with one. Any pics of your detail?

Thanks

I have a few clients from my "day job" that own Ferrari's and I've always wondered if they simply don't care that the cars come less than perfect or just like in your case have a person they trust to make it 100% perfect.

Amazing work, it's got me interested in trying Zaino product. FWIW I love my 4" edge pads it makes life so easy when getting in those little spots.
Thank you. I'm not sure of the mentality of the average Ferrari owner because they are all individuals and thus different. However, much like owners of any car, everybody needs to be educated on the proper care and shown the potential of their car, regardless of the badge on the nose.

2MnyToys, I honestly appericate the compliments. I don't worry about competiters, I only worry about improving myself. If I can help somebody do a better job, then so be it, but the truth is most people will never have the patience to put 30 hours of work into a car, nor will they have the market to sustain it.

Most of the day I remember correctly. I don't remember the exact hours now, but I will look.

M105 is hyper aggressive and I do prefer the feel of 3M compound on Ferrari paint because I have a lot of experience with that combo. I know what it's going to do, even if it takes a little longer.

What HID LED light are you using in that picture? Looks like something I might want to invest in if it is a reasonable cost. Especially picking up those buffer trails.

His Ian. I am using a Husky brand HID from Home Depot. Retails for 19.99 and is rechargeable. Great investment, IMO!!!
