You inspire me...my wife's brother is recovering in the hospital after a freak accident (literally hit by a truck) and a great gift for when he gets out would be to leave there with a freshly detailed ride.
Maybe Mothers back to black or a similar product would bring the plastic trim back.

You've done a great thing and I have to believe that whomever vandalized that truck will get what is coming to them, somehow, someday. Like you though, I'd love to see it happen in person.
PS: I wish that I had the patience to tape up a badge like that for painting!!!

Taping that badge was easy! I just ran tape over the whole thing and then, with an exacto knife, cut around the chrome part and pulled the rest away. Sprayed with paint and dried it with a hairdryer!!

Delivered the car before my softball games last night. She was very happy! She was smiling ear to ear the whole time she was checking it out! She thanked me a few times during the rest of the night and was telling everyone about how clean her "new" truck was!! It felt really great to see her so happy!!
Thanks again for all the comments!!!

From the great job you did (and the fact that you did it period) to hearing about her recovery, this was just super.
And yeah, nice save on that emblem!
