BMW550 Full paint correction

I have been taking care of it since the car was brand new. However over the winter the car got swirled up. Last I worked on it was about 6 months ago. The owner takes very good care of the paint usually.

It was time to make it look a little better.

Didn't have a garage so I was pressed for time. Started at around 10:00 am and finished in the dark right before 9:00pm.

Very few afters - which is too bad because the paint looked amazing.

The vertical panels I assumed were going to be easier to correct - boy was I wrong!

Process:

Engine was pre treated with an apc & pressure washed

Exterior

Dawn wash
clay
PG rotary 1800rpm (hood roof trunk)
SIP rotary 1500rpm (hood roof trunk)
ZAIO udm (hood roof trunk)
============================

Rest of the car

EC purple wool pad 1800rpm
Ultrafina blue ccs pad 1800rpm
ZAIO UDM

LSP

CG's Extreme Top Coat

Tire

AA Spray

PS: In the before picture the car had Z5 on it and still felt slick from it's last detail.

Before

Unfortunately the swirls didn't show up too well in the before pictures and look light, but trust me they were not. Also don't mind the smears in the afters - ZAIO got rid of them. (I try saving time where ever I can)

After - in total darkness

My one and ONLY AFTER AFTER shot is after ZAIO

Re: BMW550 Full paint correction

Did the CG's ETC leave a thick oily residue? Some of the afters look a wee bit oily/smeary?

Those pictures with the smears are after SIP as I said above. ZAIO took care of that when I used it to clean the paint.

I have no pictures with ETC on the paint.
