Haven't done a C&B in a while, bunch of cars coming!

1997 Acura CL and 2006 MDX. Regular customer, has me detail his vehicles in the fall. Does a decent job maintaining them so I've never had to go real hard into the paint. Both were polished via UDM using an orange Soft Edge one step pad with Optimum Polish and sealed with Opti-Seal.

Not sure why this shot is darker than the others, but 20-30 minutes before sunset in the shade isn't ideal picture taking lighting.

2007 Chevy Corvette Z06. Detailed, or should I say "hacked" in July by MARS (Mobile Auto Reconditioning Specialists-some kind of franchise deal) on the hood and driver's side. I guess the guy realized he was messing up the car and stopped there, because the trunk lid, roof, backend and passenger side had the typical spider swirls but no rotary swirls.

Really hard to get a clear shot of the plethora of swirls due to the low angle of the winter sun, lots of lens flare.

The UDM and Cyclo were not able to achieve the level of correction I felt I could charge for, so I used the PC 7428 rotary that William H. Bonney (aka Ryan) has lent me for the winter. I used it in conjunction with a Soft Edge orange one step pad (so smoooooooth with the rotary!) and Optimum Compound and followed with Clearkote's Pink (VM/RMG mix) Moose and a white LC CCS pad (which works much better with the rotary than a DA buffer).

The deeper color of the hood can be attributed to both the polish and the earth's rotation combined with the passage of time.

I then finished the car off with Carnauba Moose. Took me a total of 4 hours to polish the car out and then wax it. By the time I finished, there really weren't any sunny areas of the parking lot left. Just another reason to hate winter and the shorter days.

===============

1967 Chevrolet Camaro. Regular customer, I see this car about once a year since it is rarely driven. Just an Optimum No Rinse wash and Optimum Car Wax job. I used the new Optimum wheel cleaner on the raised white letters.

I was also washing a Lexus ES350 at the same time, so I took the rest of the shots when I finished that one in the shade since the sun was blowing out the shots other than that first pic.

Not too dirty...

Spray, 30 second dwell time, scrub with a nylon bristle brush, wipe dry.

1984 Mercedes 280E. Another yearly detail of a car that is well maintained by the 82!-year-old owner.

Optimum Poli-Seal using an orange Soft Edge one step pad, Opti-Seal by hand.

BioKleen TLC for carpets, Woolite/water for vinyl, dressed with Optimum Protectant Plus.

1998 Mercedes CL500. Ultima Paint Prep using a blue Soft Edge polishing pad, Ultima Paint Guard Plus by hand...a month ago! This is 4 weeks after using the Ultima twins, a tunnel wash and an ONR wash by me. Still looking really good and nice slickness.

Man you sounded like an astrophysicist there for a second with all the talk about the rotation of the earth and stuff. Next you are going to start talking about the gyroscopic action of the PC that William sent, and how the frictional forces has a large role in the creation of what you call high gloss. Da.. that Z06 is shining so well that you could probably see it from space.

Excellent job as always Scott.

A real horror show. On ugly days, my brother has been having me do interior details for his employees (he has a computer repair/service business). This 2000 Nissan Quest belongs to one of his techs. This is about as bad as it gets.

Two boxes for stuff he wanted and two 13 gallon trash bags for the garbage later...

Then 45 minutes of vacuuming...

A few hours with BioKleen Traffic Lane Cleaner and my PC with a carpet brush attachment, and Woolite/water on the vinyl-the middle section still would not come very clean.

BioKleen TLC and PC/brush on the mats.

I have a bunch more stuff already uploaded and a good 70-80 more to upload, so I'll try to catch them up in the next day or two.

That Quest is just awful! I wonder how trashed is his house. Great turnaround!

Awesome work as always Scott. That Camaro is sweet. Damn..how can someone live that filth in the Mini-Van. Not someone that I would want touching my computer

All of them look fantastic Scott! How are you liking the Optimum Wheel/Tire cleaner? Obviously, the before/after pic look pretty good.
