How tough is the windshield repair stuff? There are so many cars with imperfections in the glass, I can imagine there'd be a lot of call for this business. I remember my Camry had a couple of chips the shop supposedly "fixed" but I could still feel them and they looked awful. I thought with the proper technique it greatly reduces or vanishes the imperfection. Right?
The
headlight repair seems pretty simple. We bought a couple of different kits at the local auto store and it worked pretty well. I'd love to see the professional kit and its results. I think my new car's
headlights are a little on the frosty side so I'll give it a shot.
I also want to learn advanced buffing techniques for swirls, scratches and painting mistakes as well. i have my most fun taking a rough car to smooth as glass and so reflective you can't take a decent picture of the work. I'm pretty good at it but I think I've still got a bit of learnng to do.
Maybe I'll just stick to referrals for anything that goes past my detailing,
headlight & windshield repair services. I can repair small paint chips with the aftermarket touch up kits if the owners insist.
