PGP with top up wax?

Hi everyone

I'm new to Autopia, but have posted on the UK Detailing world forum until now!

Just got hold of some Ultima - the whole range....!

Looking forward to the return of my Ford Focus RS from the bodyshop, and will be ready with the new gear.

Can I use PGP x 3 layers, topped up with Carnauba wax for extra depth? Or will it not work?

Thanks!

Rob

Re: PGP with top up wax?

It should work just fine. I haven't found the need to top it with anything thought but that's in my eyes.

Cool, UK Winters are horrible so fancy maximum protection.... I also wouldn't mind just 'messing around' to see what results I can get....

Re: PGP with top up wax?

It looks superb just by itself, especially I found after 3 layers when the wetness really seems to come through.

Having said that, I just topped mine with Collinite 476 purely because I just didnt find the sheeting as good as i wanted for the winter. There really is no comparison IMHO and a simple rinse now leaves the car almost completely dry and spot free, whereas PGP certainly looks great, feels slick and seems to last well, but just didnt give me that beading and sheeting...

have fun

Welcome to Autopia

I would recommend waiting a month or so for the paint to fully cure before applying a LSP
