Well I finally got some money too buy some Ultima products recently. One of the reasons I decided to get it was because I am trying to narrow how many detailing products I use because I just dont need so much stuff since I dont detail professionaly. I also got kind of tired of using Klasse before winter as its a bear to use sometimes. Dont get me wrong it looks amazing once its said I done but nowadays I need something easier and Ultima was my answer.
So far I've gotten the chance to use: UPPS, UPPP, TTGP, Paint Guard Wash, and the Detail Spray Plus.
UPPS- Goes on very easily and spreads on long long way with the applicator that comes with it. Buffing off is easy as long as you use the right amount or less. If you use too much then buffing it off is like trying to get oil off a garage floor- no matter how much you wipe it it's still smearing and is hard to get off. Really brings the flake out in lighter colors and gives the paint a very smooth feeling.
UPPP- I was sure to use not too much after hearing smearing problems and all so I luckily didnt have any problems with that. Makes the paint even smoother and it is like they say "another layer of clear coat". I love it on light colors and have tried it out on my moms black mercedes on the hood and even though it does have a sealant kind of look, the depth is just as good as souveran IMO.
TTGP- I have gotten to use this on the lower fascial panels of the Jeep Grand Cherokee I drive and it went on easy, no smearing, and made it look like... A new fresh from the factory look. I will post up pictures of the Jeep tommorow if I can. I've also used it on this WS6's tires putting on 3 coats, after a palmolive wash, letting them dry, and applying each coat 30 minutes apart exactly like DavidB does. Looks great to me but I still want to try Z16.
Paint Guard Wash- WOW! Talk about suds. I honestly thought this product wasnt going to make that many suds with only 1 ounce of wash. It doesent make sense. My rinse bucket by the end of washing the car was identical to the wash bucket in terms of sudsy foam just from the mitt being dunked in there! Bugs on the front came off with ease but otherwise the car wasnt that filthy to determine cleaning ability otherwise.
Detail Spray Plus- Very minor cleaning ability according to the spray bottle so I just did a light touch up once on the Jeep I ultima'd about a week ago since it wasnt dirty. Brought back the fresh look and slickness and also cleaned the windows streak free. So I guess what I'm saying here is it does what it says on the bottle.
All in all I'm glad the money I spent wasnt a waste, though I kind of knew it wouldnt be because I trust DavidB because autopia is a great thing that he created to I figured before I bought Ultima that it must be too. I am going to stick with Ultima from now on because it's too easy to use and it looks great to. All products do their job well and I was impressed. Any questions or comments are welcome. Sorry to make you read a novel.
