protection of different ultima products

Please help me understand how long of protection each of these ultima products give.

UPGP : 9-12 months
UPPP : ??? (I read somewhere davidb said there is sealent in it)
U detail spray plus : ??? (does this give any protection at all?)
U trim guard plus : up to 1 year
U interior guard plus : up to 1 year

Also, for would trim guard plus offer more protection or interior guard plus on something like the dashboard? I'm not quite sure on the differences between these two products and why to use one vs the other. Both seem to be polymer sealents and both seem to be waterproof.

Re: protection of different ultima products

Our documentation is pretty clear that we recommend application of all the sealants 3-4 times a year. The primary reason is UV protection and to restore protection to areas where the sealant failed do to contact with high acid or high alkaline chemicals (bird, bug, pollution...).

The fact that a paint finish continues to shine, bead water and feel very slick is not an indicator of full protection.

Re: protection of different ultima products

Your input is noted. Maximum protection is re-applying product 3-4 times a year.

How much protection do you get from UPPP and U Detail spray plus? Would it last a few months?

Re: protection of different ultima products

UPPP has enough Polycharger in it to maintain a finish for 60+ days, but it does not contain UV protection. The polymer was included to improve the bonding ability of UPGP.

Ultima Detail Spray Plus also contains our Polycharger formula. The purpose is to restore slickness and gloss. Does it protect? Well, used by itself it beads water, but I don't call that protection. In order to protect, the polymers need to be able to bond through crosslinking.

Re: protection of different ultima products

So UPPP is an AIO like KAIO or ZAIO? I do know UPPP leaves the surface feeling different then any other polish Ive used.

Question about UPPP. Is it generally a little clumpy?

Re: protection of different ultima products

UPPP is thick. In general, I find that most people use way too much of the product. It is super concentrated. I apply 3-4 pea size dabs to my pad at a time. Work it in until it runs clear, then buff off.
