Could you please elaborate the "leather-statement", getting a Toyota Avensis (European model) with leather seats. Would be interesting to see if they use the same kind of leather here as well (perforated leather).

Re: White Toyota - Before and After Ultima

Frank,

My neighbor's Avalon has a smooth, tan leather interior. The leather is not perforated. Perforated leather is common in Europe, but not here in the States.

The most difficult thing to clean up in the Avalon was the console and the plastic sill plates across the entry of the car. My neighbors are now 70 and tend to drag their shoes over the sills, leaving black heel marks. It took quite a bit of rubbing to get the black marks off, until I finally though of using Plexus. Duh!

Yesterday they had their garage door open so I took a peek inside to see if the black shoe marks were back again. Yup, they were. The nice thing is they cleaned up with a shot of detail spray and a wipe with a towel. The Interior Guard Plus I applied seems to help.

Re: White Toyota - Before and After Ultima

Frank,

The IGP product has a heavy chemical smell until the polymer dries. Once dry, it leaves behind a light leather fragrance. Nothing heavy.
