How to strip Ultima Paint Guard Plus?

Ok, so yesterday was my first time applying Ultima Paint Guard Plus. I messed up pretty bad. Not only did I over apply it (streaking, unevenness), but I applied way too much pressure and ended up causing a bunch of fine scratches. What can strip PGP, maybe Dawn?

If you have the PPP then you should be able to go over the car with that to clean the paint and start fresh.

Isopropyl Alcohol or any paint cleaner (i.e. Prepsol). I would perform this task first prior to polishing out the surface marring since the application of PGP was so recent that it may gum-up your polishing pad prematurely.

PGP or any non-cleaning (abrasive containing) sealant should not mar your paint. You should check your applicator pad for defects (melted MF fibers or embedded dirt).

Re: How to strip Ultima Paint Guard Plus?

Why such measures when a simple paint cleaner will take care of this??

Wouldn't a fresh coat of sealant gum up his pad?

never had much of a problem with it
and I have a few pads and know how to wash them so it would not bother me if they did get gummed up
