How to apply multi layer of PGP in 41F without garage? - DaviB? Hi,
Im living in Norway and our landlord does not have garage, luckily the company i work for have a nice warm garage in the ground under the building where the car is parked about 8-12hrs a day.
Im getting a completely new car (toyota Avensis Executive, its an Europen model) end of this month and though to go through with the following (please let me know if some of the steps is not necessary, then i will rule it out in the To-Do list). first of all i plan to do some some work on separate days and see if there is maybe a bit higher temp to do a nice wash of the car.
1: Do a thoroughly wash with "Ultima Paint Guard Wash"
2: Wipe of all the excess water with a MF
3: Double clean the car and check its really clean with either a clay or "Ultima Elastrofoam Paint Cleaning System"
*Question, is it necessary to pour water over the car in between stages? If so this become stage 4*
4: Check the car for any swirls (you just never know) or imperfection, then maybe spot use or go over the whole car with "Ultima Paint Prep Plus"
***The problem im getting into now is that its getting quite cold here at night, probably down to 23F, and i bet PGP wont cure at this low temp, so my thought was to leave the car over night and bring it to office***
5: At the office i use the "Ultima Detail Spray Plus" together with a MF over the whole car to get rid of any stuff that might have come on the car during the night.
***Question: is it necessary to use water before or when i use the Detailing spray plus? Or is it made in such a way i can use on the car, and then after it straight away use PGP?***
6: Time for some PGP on the car (the regular 2 spray on the applicator and one spray on the panel.
Finish, then let it cure finish, either till lunch and i apply a new layer of PGP or just let it cure till im finish at work.
Drive home, go to work next day, use a the Detail spray pluss one more time to get rid of any dirt that might have come over night, and another layer with PGP.
I think this should be it, but im open to suggestions and please let me know if i have made any mistakes.
