Received my Sample kit today.

Initial findings:

Great packaging. I love the box to keep the bottles in one spot, but they don't fit with the sprayer on. No big deal, I did not buy Ulitma for the box. EDIT - If I put them in sideways, they fit -END EDIT

The instruction manual is great, kind of like reading a BMW brochure. Great instructions and photography. I found one mistake in the UPPP section, Machine Application is not bolded in red, but you probably caught that already.

I did a very quick test. I wiped down the trunk of my Steel Gray BMW with IPA. Using a green UDM pad and my PC I applied UPPP per instructions. Went on like a breeze and I worked it a bit. The haze wiped off no problem. The finish was glossier, it was hard to tell if there was any correction, but the paint is hard so I usually have a difficult time with correcting it.

Next, I applied PGP per instructions with blue MF applicator. I found it to go on easy, actually easier than ZCS.

Now I am waiting for the results. I'll keep you posted after 3 layers.

Steve

Re: Received my Sample kit today.

make sure you get 3+ layers on. The finish on my steel grey Saab just got wetter and wetter and after 4 layers has a far wetter look now than I thought would ever be possible on that colour :

I plan a 5th coat after the next wash and we'll see how it goes from there.

Let us know your thoughts.

Re: Received my Sample kit today.

Well I have not done my whole car yet. Actually today I did my semi-annual detail to my friends 2005 Mustang. We have been using Zaino for the last 4 details and he loves the results. I was going to try to talk him into Ultima today, but he is huge on durability and sice I have not used it before he was skeptical. I did apply it to the trunk. His car sits outside 24/7 and gets sealant twice a year. So we'll see how one layer of UPGP holds up to 2 layers of Z2Pro +zfx and Z8 over the next six months. As far as looks, the UPGP looked very similar to the Z2PRO, but I gave the edge to Z2 + Z8. However I bet multiple layers of UPGP would look as good since I have over four on the trunk of my car and it gets wetter and more reflective each layer.
