Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

Just tried the new formula over a coat of the older formula and really like the new look on tires. I think I will use the older formula for trim and the newer one on tires.
Would definitely buy the newer version for tires.

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

Update. Drove throw a mist/damp road and the shine is gone from most of the tires even after a wash. This is on my larger, SUV tires which cured for a day or two. Haven't had the MINI out yet which also has the newer formula on the tires.
I will continue to experiment on other tires with the sealant but I am going to focus the use on trim where it seems to work better for me.

Is the new formula available in the 12 ounce bottles yet? If not, when?

Not yet. We still have 140 bottles of the original formula in the 12 oz that need to sell before we fill the next batch. We fill 240 gallons at a time.

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

Hey all, I applied UT&TGP last September and it will be six months in a few weeks. First the wife's 2000 Windstar, the test here is the plastic panel at the base of the windshield. It's big and VERY noticeable. I tried many products on this and nothing would last through two car washes, in fact, some products couldn't stand up to an overnight dew. Well after nearly six months since the first and ONLY application the panel remains dark and beads like crazy. I got the same results on my Marauder in the same area and the rubber around the windows actually shines. This vehicle gets washed at least twice a week. Oh yes, This is in Michigan too!

Dave, thanks for the best! YOU DA MAN!!!

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

follow up questions not addressed.

Can the v1 be mixed with v2?

If we bought v1 is there an exchange for v2 as we are all beta testers?

Cheers,

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

I have several bottles of T&TGP bought over time. Some do not have sprayers. I did a search and could not find and answer:

How can I tell which bottles are Version 1 and which are Version 2???

The same thing happened to me when I ordered mine. I e-mailed Lynn, and she sent one right away. Without the sprayer, you will be wasting a lot of product.

Right now, V2 only comes in the 4oz size. If you ordered the 4oz bottle in the last 2 or 3 months, you probably have V2.

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

Thanks, Guys - Just got a couple bottles last week - they are 12 oz. I'll use them, as I'm generally pleased, but I really thought I was getting V2 <sigh>

Thanks. I didn't realize it was supposed to have a sprayer. I just assumed it was a dispensing cap. Do you use the applicator supplied with the product? My intentions are to use it on my Explorer which has hardened plastic bumpers and fender flairs and was wondering if the blue or orange side would be preferential.
