Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

We will release the 4 oz. bottles of sealant this week. The T&TGP is the updated formula.

Just to clarify, the product currently available in 12 oz container is also the new formula already?

Thanks very much.

No. It is the original. The minor formula change won't hit the larger bottle for a few more weeks.

I only used a small amount on my tires from the large bottle. Can I send you this bottle with some money for the new formula?

Let me give some thought on this issue. I'm down for the count with a sinus infection, so I'm not thinking straight.

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

Hi David -

Old vs. New Formula.
Everyones needs are different but the only time I would use the ultima is warmer weather vs. winter....and in warmer weather, all my tires are generally low profile.

How is the durabilty between old vs. new formula with the glossing agents in them ? Just curious....

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

If you decide to trade some old formula for new, let me know. I will gladly purchase some of the old returned formula from you.... at a nice discount of course.

The honest answer is that it's impossible for me to say.

On plastic trim our tests show a solid 6+ months protection on plastics, with UV protection falling off significantly after 3 months. That's why we suggest 3-4 applications per year. On tires, our testing is all over the map. We see that "tire protection" lasts for months, but tire gloss can fall off after only a few weeks with some tires. The reasons are beyond our control or our ability to design around.

The modified formula makes an improvement in tire gloss, in particular for tires with taller sidewalls. It does not change product durability.

Re: Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus Durability

Why burden owners with mailing a leaky bottle? How about a discount for those who have bought the first formula?
