Should I use Ultima PGP on the windows and glossy plastic trim?

Should I use Ultima PGP on the windows and door pillar trim (glossy black plastic)? I'm afraid the slightest streak or inconsistency in the PGP will be very noticeable on windows and the door pillar trim.

Totally your call. Try it and see if you like it, whats the harm? Worked well for me on windows but not on trim.

No sir it did not it just did not last at all. I have never applied PGP where it did not streak so I have given up on it being streak free which is why I do not use it on pay details. I am too afraid to have a customer complain about getting it home and having streaks.

Re: Should I use Ultima PGP on the windows and glossy plastic trim?

Something in your process is causing the streaking unless you just got a bad bottle.

Make sure that you wipe away all residue from your prior step. I usually use the Detail Spray for this. You can also use an ONR QD mix for this. Apply it using less than you were using. That should do it. If it doesn't then let me know and I'll see if I can help. I've gathering a lot of experience with these products.

As soon as it stops raining here I want to try it out again. I used PoorBoys Spray and Wipe after the UPPP last time I used it, then waited until it was completely dry and it still streaked. I would have no idea how to tell if I had a bad bottle as nothing is floating in it or anything. Thanks for the offer of help. MN winter is just around the corner....this is so depressing.

Re: Should I use Ultima PGP on the windows and glossy plastic trim?

Spray N Wipe is likely the culprit. It leaves something behind that adds to the gloss. As long as you remove the residue from PPP it should lay down without streaking.

I had a LOT of issues with the Ultima Paint Guard Wash. is that only intended for use after the UPGP?

Re: Should I use Ultima PGP on the windows and glossy plastic trim?

The autopia folks sent us a free packet of the wash with are last order. I thought it did a heck of a good wash. I was a die hard user of the Meguires purple wash soap until Lynn got me to try another. With the purple stuff I had to put a few glugs in the bucket to get my suds. With the Ultima stuff one little packet washed both our cars and still had enough suds to do another.
